Another great turn-out for the work party today in St George's Park. Local people getting involved in our park and in the Let's Eat the Park project that is continuously unfolding there. A meeting between the LEAP team and FoSGP wildlife officer Gehardt Kruckow provided an update on developments within the wildlife corridor fanning out in a northerly direction from St George's Park established by the Friends group about 7 years ago. More of Gehardt's report will appear on the Park Wildlife page in next few days but he notes that over January to February in our town centre urban green space badgers, foxes, grey squirrel and hegdehogs have been seen as well as a variety of other wildlife looking for their own chance to eat the park, or at least some of its inhabitants. On the back of yesterday's cake spectacular at the Youth House and Wednesdays training at Martineau Gardens in Birmingham today's work party was a great boost to all the LEAP team. Here are a few photos from today's volunteer activity in our park, the People's Park since 1927!
