It wasn't so much the calm before the storm, as the calm between the storms for the work party in the park today. Eight Friends took the opportunity to sieze the moment to do some work on the rockery and the path that links the Radford Avenue gate to the one on the Ring Road. After the past six weeks of rain the park was pretty soggy. There was a sizeable puddle on the path which mostly drained away after we uncovered and cleared a blocked drain. Below there are a few before and after shots and of course one of the Pink Trug which has become the trademark of FoSGP work parties. We were lucky with the weather today and everyone who came had a great time weeding, cutting back and tidying up the path and partaking of refreshments at our impromtu 'pop-up cafe' in the shelter.
