Over 3000 daffodil bulbs were planted in 12 plots along the Radford Avenue embankment. Various 'designs' were planted so it will be an interesting April when they start to come up.
Volunteers were treated to hot chocolate, mince pies and chocolates as they planted in the park. There are still a few groups left to plant their plots so once they have done this we will produce and publish a detailed map showing the location and group names of the plots. Don't forget that sometime during April we will judge the best looking plot (yes there will be prizes).
Spike wanted to say a big thank you for all the group members who helped out on the day and all the volunteers who gave up their time on a cold and frosty Saturday morning to make the park look that little bit better.
Also thanks to Gavin from Wyre Forest District Council who transported the bulbs and provided the necessary equipment for the day and to Grassroots who funded the project.
