This Saturday we will be having another work party in St George's Park meeting at 10 am at the shelter. Building on recent successes we plan to continue with our Spring programme of tidying, weeding and planting. As always the refreshments for work party animals are free. Come and hear our news about developments in Let's Eat the Park and FoSGP community based activities, including further funding successes, our growing partnerships, confirmed attractions at our St George's Day Family Fun and Discovery Event (25 April) and all the things that will be coming up at our next meeting at the Youth House.
Come along and get involved, meet fellow residents working together to grow free food in the Horsefair/Greenhill areas, to stage free community events and who are reaching out across regional networks to new partners including the Royal Horticultural Society and the Youth Trust. Hear more about our plans for KidFest 2015 our free arts, storytelling and children's theatre festival organised by local Friends group volunteers in August - the Horsefair's special contribution to the Kidderminster Arts Festival.
Come and check us out, we are the ones in the Hi-Viz vests doing stuff, tools and gloves loaned out to volunteers - we'd love you to come along and help us with our project.
Join up with local people taking action for themselves and acting on their own intiative to care for the People's Park - Since 1927 (and surrounding areas)...
