You are cordially invited to join us at KidFest in St George's Park, part of Kidderminster Arts Festival which began on 8 August and runs until 22 August at various sites around the town. For more info on KAF 2015 please follow this link

This is the third year that the Friends group have partnered Wyre Forest District Council (WFDC) to put on an event specifically aimed at our younger residents and visitors. FoSGP volunteers raise the funds, organise the events and steward the proceedings at this FREE family festival.
KidFest15 brings together two themes, one is the Transformation theme of this year's KAF- including linking our own bird box project with Kathy Hinde's 'Luminous Birds' origami 'peace cranes' (commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Hiroshima/Nagasaki tragedy) which are flying high over Vicar Street in Kidderminster town centre throughout the two week festival.
The other theme which is specific to St George's Park and its neighbours is Let's Eat the Park (LEAP), which is captured in this year's main KidFest event The Vegetable Nannies children's interactive workshops and vegetable themed installations by Plunge Boom, a Yorkshire based children's theatre company. We hope you will be inspired by their performance and want to take a closer look at the FREE fruit and vegetables that are now ready to pick in the beds tended by LEAP team volunteers. Take the chance to ask any questions about LEAP at our information stall on the day.
Other attractions at this year's KidFest include craft activities organised by St George's Church, the opportunity to print your own version of Sue Vicenzotti's new 'Kidderminster' logo, exclusively commissioned for KAF 2015 and to get creative with the return of Eira Walter's popular 'Waste2Want' workshop. Storytelling and literary adventures will be provided by Kidderminster Library, who will bring their book bus and henna art will be on offer from the Wyre Forest Islamic Community Group. Walk Wyre Forest's only grass labyrinth, or enjoy all the old favourites such as the paddling pool, play area and BMX track. There will be something for all the family to enjoy, so why not bring a picnic and settle in for an afternoon of fun arts and craft activities in St George's Park?
KidFest is a collaboration between KAF organiser Loz Samuels from WFDC and FoSGP and the LEAP team - Look forward to seeing you there - All Welcome!
* Please note - toilet facilities including disabled access and baby change will be available in the park.
