At this time of year the park is blooming. People of all ages enjoy the park and want to see it looking good. The Friends are working with Wyre Forest District Council to make sure St George's Park lives up to its name as The People's Park with something for everyone in this little green oasis on the edge of the town centre.
Friends of St George's Park are most grateful to the Sainsbury's Store at Crossley Park for the £50 gift card from their Community Grant Scheme. The donation was kindly made toward the purchase of tea, coffee and biscuits etc for our work party refreshment breaks in the park. So thanks again to Sainsbury's for their much appreciated support. Last weekend's work party were small in number but big in impact, see pictures of freshly weeded border below. BLOOMIN' LOVELY At this time of year the park is blooming.
