Friends of St George's Park are proud to present the Kazzum Theatre Company's production Nana's Jumble as the headline act in this year's opening of the Kidderminster Arts Festival (KAF14) on 9 August. We were very fortunate to get London based Kazzum - who specialise in outdoor theatrical interactive productions for family audiences.
For KidsFest 2 - a perfect choice!
This year is the second time the Friends Of St George's Park have collaborated with Wyre Forest District Council to bring the Arts Festival beyond the Ring Road, out of the town centre and into the Horsefair.
Other attractions include Museum on the Move, arts and crafts stalls and much more, the itinerary is increasing all the time as the Friends organise the day. But here is a little more about Nana's Jumble from Kazzum!
“One nan’s jumble is another nan’s treasure.”
Nana is having a jumble sale before downsizing to a one bedroom flat. Her granddaughter, Josie, is there too, but is in a very bad mood. She would rather be out with her friends rather than stuck with her old Nan.
Nana’s Jumble is a storytelling performance and social event. There’s tea and squash, there are puppets that come to life from the sea of jumble, the little kids can do some drawing and there’s even a tombola! But (and not even granddaughter Josie can deny it) the best thing about this jumble sale are Nana’s amazing stories from her travels around the world…
Nana’s Jumble tells the story of Nana, who is scared of settling down, and of her granddaughter who desperately wants to be anywhere else but with ‘old Nana’. Forced together they discover that, with one another by their sides, their lives will never be boring again. Age is just a number.
Kazzum – renowned producers of “playful theatre in unusual places” – bring their inquisitive gaze to the objects all around us – those discarded finds whose magical stories fire the imagination. Kazzum’s interactive show invites you to look at the world differently, explore together as a family, and play with Nana and Josie at the most exciting jumble sale you’ve ever been to!

There will be two Free 45 minute perfomances of Nana's Jumble for all the family at 12.45 and 2.45pm on Saturday 9 August in St George's Park - Don't miss them!
