As posted by Stephen Read on Facebook the first Daffodil has been spotted in St. George's Park. It's great to see the first of the 6,000 Daffodils we planted last year coming up. It should be quite a show in a couple of weeks! We are pleased to announce that the new 'kissing' style gate has been fitted in the corner of the Park nearest Coventry Street/Ring Road. Since our group started in 2008 we have known that local people wanted an access point to the park in this corner (you can see where people have been jumping over the fence!). This new gate will give people the option of walking through the park to Town rather than walking along the ring road. The wheelchair accessible gate has been funded by the Green Insurance Company and the fitting has been completed by Wyre Forest District Council. The gateway area will eventually be slabbed and will open out on to the new Wildflower Meadow (more details to be posted soon). Vale Veterinary Group Fundraising Page Being an active member of our local community, we like to do our best to give something back. We plan to run regular fundraising events both at the practice and online through this page to raise money to help local community good causes and animal charities. We are currently raising money to help the Friends of St. George's Park in their plans to place a new bench, so all you dog walkers have a place to rest! Please give generously, it is appreciated!
