Images from 2015 in St George's Park

Please Note - We have had a recent spate of correspondence about a plan to cull fish in a pool at St George's Park, Bristol. This is a case of mistaken identity - we are St George's Park, Kidderminster where we have no fish!
Many thanks FoSGP. We shall have our last Work Party of the year this Saturday 19th from 10am. We should be in both the Park and Churchyard again - just look out for the Hi-viz Jackets bearing LEAP logo. This is one party no one should miss this Yuletide Even the LEAP team are taking a short break but we will be back again early in 2016 - A LEAP Year! Below are some great images taken by park Friend Barry of the Carol's in the Park a community event, a seasonal get-together for a wide section of the community to enjoy. The Friends of St George's Park enjoyed another successful Carols in the Park event on the evening of Friday 11 December. The event is now a fixture on the calendar of people in the local community who came out in force to sing carols, eat mince pies and drink mulled wine or hot chocolate in the park. As with all FoSGP events there was no charge, food and drink was given away free to 80 people attending the event, which is organised every December by the Friends in partnership with St George's Church. The weather this year was cool and too breezy for the candles we brought to stay alight, but despite the fact that the darkness was only illuminated by a few strings of fairy lights, a really great time was had by all. Nicky's delicious mince pies, Sue's mulled wine and Carol's seemingly endless supply of hot chocolate and shortbread fortified the hearty voices against the elements. We were very pleased to see so many old friends and supporters - besides those who came from the church we also welcomed our neighbours at Arden House, partners from Kidderminster and District Youth Trust and many other community members of all ages - including three dog walkers with their dogs. It was great to see such a traditional scene involving local families and visitors sharing the moment after dark, in St George's Park, Kidderminster. -The People's Park Since 1927- Seasonal Greetings from the Friends of St George's Park Wishing All Our Partners, Supporters, Volunteers
