Let's Eat the Park was established to push growing edibles beyond the park gates and into the local area. We have done this previously in Baxter Avenue on the approach to Baxter Gardens Park and today the project took another LEAP forward by planting the churchyard across Radford Avenue from St George's Park. Today a LEAP team planted gooseberries, blackcurrants, sage, rosemary and lavender in one of the six south bays of St George's Church...the team also prepared another bed for planting. The Friends of St George's Park are having a Seed Swap at the Youth House in Kidderminster on 21 February 10am-2pm - come along and pick up some seeds, please bring along any spare seeds you may have, contribute to LEAP - refreshments available entry FREE. Have a look at the What's On page above for poster.
